“I grew up in Honduras, a place where there is a mixture of Catholic and Indigenous beliefs, which are reflected in daily life. Honduras has been affected by wars, as well as devastated by hurricanes and other natural phenomena. The syncretism of its traditions, and its social and environmental issues has affected my perception of life, and in turn, affects how I depict the world around me.”
