As a self-taught artist, Cherie Harte follows in the tradition of Outsider Art and Art Brut, adding gestural painting techniques that juxtapose a character’s complex inner life with tangible expressions of naivete and innocence. The childlike simplicity of her work betrays the complexity is of the content.
Love Me! is a solo exhibition feature over 10 pieces in which Cherie champions the spirit of love.
